  Great place. They found a better dry food for my dog and it made a huge difference. He is now much happier with his food and it made him much healthier. They told me I could have even gotten a full refund if I was not happy as they are more concerned about making my dog healthy than making a quick buck. Very happy with the service.

  I want to take a moment to congratulate Pet Valu in Smiths Falls! It appears that, in this age of economic uncertainty in Smiths Falls, Pet Valu is one retail business that is not worried about the bottom line. I was there on Thursday September 27 to purchase a large plastic crate and a travel package for my dog; approximately a $200 purchase. The crates were displayed on an upper shelf, much too high for us to reach so we headed to the front to ask one of the 3 young female employees (who had not acknowledged our arrival in the store) for some help. Two were behind the sales desk, chatting, and one was working on tidying a display. All three of these young ladies looked at me as I approached but quickly averted their eyes as I got nearer; one of them started typing in the computer and all three of them actively ignored me for about 40 seconds as I stood at the cash. I was, understandably I think, perturbed by this extremely low level of customer service, for my own sake. After all I needed the product and they had them there and now I would be forced to look elsewhere because this crazy 'vote with you dollars' principal that I live by. I refuse to give my money to an establishment whose employees are clearly not interested in doing their jobs. However I am heartened to know that the store is doing so well that they can afford to turn away $200 sales (I wonder how many other sales they refuse in the run of a year?). Congrats Pet Valu!!!! I'm sure you are the envy of every other retail outlet in Smiths Falls!
